Training, Coaching, Equipment & Social
Our training program is designed to help PTRC athletes achieve maximum fitness around busy professional lives. Based on the best international team programs, our training plan consists of a combination of weights, ergs, core, stretching and the highest technical standards on the water. We have recently travelled to Temple Sur Lot, France & Banyoles, Spain to host our spring training camps as an important part to our summer preparations.
Athletes looking to really push themselves can do more whilst those with more demanding life schedules can still progress by working through sessions according to priority. Our squad is tiered into performance, intermediate and development so that all athletes will receive the appropriate coaching and training to help them step on in their rowing ability.
The men’s squad are privileged to be led by Head Coach, Julie Lewis. Julie has rowed internationally in the US, Canada & UK with a Bronze medal in the British National Championships. As a coach, Jules has helped coach crews to wins at numerous UK head races and regattas, Jr Nationals, Ghent International and Henley Royal Regatta. Julie helps the squad in consistently raising the quality of training, rowing and racing at all levels.
