Rowing

We have a large active membership, with rowing activities split between several groups and squads:

Men’s Squad – training up to 8 times a week and targeting the major events including Head of the River and Henley Royal Regatta.

Women’s Squad – training up to 8 times a week and competing in the major events including Women’s Eights Head of the River Race and Henley Women’s Regatta.

In both the men’s and women’s squads we also have intermediate groups for those wishing for a more relaxed approach, and also a development group for those with less than one year’s rowing experience.

Masters Men – for rowers interested either in training and racing, or who just want to enjoy the exercise and the pleasure of rowing on the Tideway. Ranging in age from Mas B to Mas H.

Women’s Masters – a group of experienced rowers/scullers who train hard with a view to racing but with a more flexible approach to land training.

Social Scullers – sculling for pleasure and improvement rather than hard core racing training and boating at 10.00 am Sundays in a range of sculling boats.

Please note that we do not currently have an organised Juniors squad but do permit junior members to row at the club.
