The PTRC Ramp Fund – Building the Club’s Future

The proposed ramp outside the club house

The proposed ramp outside the club house

Whilst we are very proud of our custom built boathouse, compound and facilities, the Club has for many years attempted to raise money to build new access to the river by way of a stepped ramp directly outside of the Club.

We currently have to access the river from steep concrete steps 100m from the Clubhouse.

The location and the nature of the current stepped access means that our older members struggle and we have to limit the number of beginner courses and young people learning to row because we cannot supervise from the Club.

Through the fantastic efforts of the membership and the Development Committee we are now very close to being able to build the new ramp.

We are just £9,000 away from achieving our target and starting the building works - which we hope could be completed by the end of March 2012!

We have had fantastic support from Barnes Workhouse Fund, The Mayor’s Facilities Fund and British Rowing, and all the Club members who have already generously donated.

Please visit our Just Giving page to donate.

Every £ counts as the Club benefits from Gift Aid and from reducing the amount of money we will need to borrow.

If you would like to know more about the ramp please contact the Club Captain
