Wanted: Head Coach For Senior Women’s Squad

We are seeking a replacement head coach starting as soon as possible.

We are a squad of energetic, motivated and enthusiastic women who are looking for someone to build on last year’s strong head race rankings this coming season, and translate them into improved performance at Women’s Henley Regatta and other major regattas.

We are in need of someone who will push us physically and mentally on water and on land, set our training programme, and develop our squad strategy to fit in as part of the wider club strategy. There are also opportunities to become involved with our development squad and influence how they will integrate into the wider women’s squad.

The new coach will have at their disposal a well-equipped gym and a large fleet with high quality across all classes of boats. This is an ideal role for someone looking to take on an ambitious squad who are striving for success. It is a part-time position, requiring 10 coaching hours per week, all of which will be paid. In addition to this, volunteer time will be required for any coaching admin or any additional sessions needed closer to important races. Applications are welcome from various levels of experience. It is envisaged that the successful applicant will be able to view Putney Town as their primary rowing priority.

To apply, or for more information, please contact the Women’s Captain, Sophie Bluff, onwomenscaptain@nullputneytownrc.co.uk. Applicants should provide information similar to a CV or a covering letter.
