PLA Rowing Safety Awards 2015 – runner-up
On Monday evening, club water safety officer Camilla Lister and captain Peter Jones were presented with the runner-up prize in the PLA Rowing Safety Awards for 2015 by the Port of London’s Chief Harbour Master David Phillips. The event was held at award winner King’s College School’s boathouse. We were joined by Tideway Scullers in receiving the runner-up award. Also present at the reception were Thames Regional Rowing Council Chairman, Martin Humphrys, and vice presidents Bill Mitchell and Neil Jackson.
The award is recognition of all the hard work put in by Camilla and by her predecessor, James Holmes-Siedle, in helping us be safe on the river, but also a tribute to the attitude of all club members with respect to safety. Let’s keep up the good work!
