New club 5,000m record set

Blackboard and Daves record

New to the club hall last weekend was a blackboard, located between the bar and kitchen doors. Its purpose is to communicate individual and club successes and achievements, which in the past have been kept all too quiet. It will also be used to communicate important notices.

Its installation was perfectly timed as men’s squad member Dave Dearlove broke the club 5,000m erg record last week, beating the 5 year old benchmark with a score of 16:36.9 on an impressive test night for the men’s squad. That score isn’t even Dave’s PB, which is some 20s faster and was achieved when Dave was rowing at Molesey BC.

If you know of any achievements that deserve to be shouted about, please either see the captain or vice captains, or email captain@nullputneytownrc.co.uk.
