Learn to Row 2015 – Open days this weekend!
Learn to Row 2015 at Putney Town RC starts this weekend with two open days on Saturday 5th September, from 1pm; and Tuesday 8th September, from 7pm.
If you have registered online, you will have received emails with this information. If you haven’t registered online, please don’t worry – you can register in person at one of the open days.
The open day is a chance for you to find out about the course, and for us to meet you. You’ll get a tour of our boathouse, followed by a short presentation by one of our team, which will tell you all about our club, what we are all about, how the course works and what will happen at the end of the course. There will be a chance to ask questions. After that, we will move into the gym and there will be a quick introductory session to the rowing machine and a short challenge. Please either come in, or bring, clothes you are happy to exercise in. We have changing rooms, but it may be easier to come ready! In the meantime, please browse our website to find out more about the club, and the course.
The boathouse is located by Chiswick Bridge. We are 10mins walk from Kew Gardens Station (District Line/Overground), 10mins walk from Mortlake Station (National Rail from Waterloo/Clapham Junction) or 5mins walk from bus stops on Chiswick Bridge (route 190 from Hammersmith/Richmond). The club has a free car park at the rear and plenty of space for bikes within our compound. The postcode is TW9 4EN and is accessed from the South Circular (Mortlake Road) (or the tow-path if you come by bike or on foot). If you do bring your car, please do not leave any belongings on display.
We are really looking forward to meeting you. Please make sure you sign in when you arrive!
You must attend one of the open days to sign on to the course.
